WHAT MOTIVATE KIM CHUI ON THE SET BRIDE FOR RENT?
The Bride for Rent star Kim Chiu admitted initially that she is nervous to be headlining star cinema’s opening slavo for the year. “ I was Rocky here, the bread winner of the family. I am looking for a major role, like she makes all things just for her family.
We pray every day because of the intimidating and super funny role of Vice ganda, the super scary pagpag, and now we are 2014 so like having a twist, there is funny moment and also a romance. So, I hope people will support this because we really give our effort for this movie.”
Kim also revealed what motivated her jokingly during their shoots. “ If you see Xian wearing Sando (laughs)”. According to Kim , loyal fans of their love team KimXi will also be in for a treat when they watch their second movie together. She said she and Xian were definitely more comfortable working together and it shows in their more intimate scenes as fake husband and wife in the movie.
Kim Chui admitted also that there is definitely pressure coming from the success of her last film with Xian Lim “Bakit di ka Crush ng Crush mo” in which it was a box office hit. Another challenge for Kim in the film was deviating from her previous roles as a sweet or demure girl. In Bride for Rent she said that her character is more aggressive than the male lead. And she is turn into an instant comedian here for somehow. “I don’t know how to make people laugh and that was very challenging for my part. As Rocky here I came from a squatter place, we don’t have money, My mother passed away and I have three brothers” she explained.
Kim shared that headlining a romantic-comedy film is something that she truly enjoys doing and she also hopes that the movie will score big at the box office.
